Podium proud at the Eddy Meet

Gardner, Harrell, Smith and Rohan-Grant posing on the podium with the first place trophy

The Albany boys’ varsity track team delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Eddy Meet this past Saturday!

The 4x100 meter relay team—Daaron Harrell, Rohan Edwards-Grant, Samir Gardner and Nasief Smith—only clinched first place, but also shattered their own school record with an impressive time of 42.08 seconds! With this record-breaking time, they are now ranked first in New York State for Class A and the Federation!

In addition to the relay team's success, we have several other shining moments to celebrate. Edwards-Grant flew in 200 meter dash, securing second place overall. Noah Bizer also made a notable contribution to the team's achievements, finishing sixth in the 800 meter run, while Gardner excelled in the long jump, securing fourth place.

With several more competitions left in the season, the sky's the limit for what these Falcons can achieve. Their dedication and progress are truly inspiring, and they are poised for even greater successes ahead!

Go Falcons!
