We are looking forward to starting our co-ed modified swimming team for the winter season. Students in grades 7-8 are invited to participate! Tryouts begin Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School.
Beginning Tuesday, practices will be held at Myers from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Students should bring:
- A one-piece bathing suit
- Towel
- Goggles
- Swim cap or hair tie (for long hair)
- Drinking water
Students will need to complete a swimming test to ensure they have an appropriate level of proficiency to participate on the team.
Transportation details are as follows:
- North Albany Middle »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵstudents will take the 803 Green line CDTA tripper bus to Myers
- Students at Albany International Academy also will take the 803 Green line CDTA tripper bus to Myers.
- Please note students will need to get off the 803 Green line at Marwill and Whitehall -- in front of Albany »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵof Humanities (ASH) -- and walk four-tenths of a mile to Myers. Students will turn left to enter campus when they see the Myers school sign at Elbel Court
- Students at William S. Hackett Middle »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵwill take the 801 Yellow line CDTA tripper bus to Myers.
