Announcing Single Sign On for »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵGoogle Apps and »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵBlackboard Learn

We are excited to announce that we are improving the way »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵusers can access core technology services. Starting May 7th, the Single Sign On option used for other services, like »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵOnline, will be coming to »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵGoogle Apps and »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵBlackboard Learn.

What is Single Sign On (SSO?)

Single Sign On is a single, centralized user authentication service, in which »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵusers can use one browser login session to access any tools, applications, or services that use the same SSO.

What does SSO mean for me?

Users who choose to login to »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵservices using the SSO option can expect a seamless transition to and from services that also use »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵSSO. This currently includes services like »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵOnline, and soon »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵGoogle Apps and »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵBlackboard Learn will also be available with SSO.

For users who will be starting new active sessions with these services, you may notice additional options on your login page. Below is an example of how the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵBlackboard Learn login page may look once SSO becomes available.
